Our Work
Chase the Wilderness is a small textile studio created by Alana, who designs and makes every piece from her home workspace while juggling life with two children, a Romanian rescue dog, and a very full sketchbook. Her work begins with drawing and painting, often inspired by woodland walks, folklore, mythology, and the wild stories dreamed up by her family. These ideas are carefully digitised and stitched using her embroidery machine before being sewn into finished pieces that are both beautiful and useful, from accessories to gifts and wearable art.
Ethics, sustainability and quality sit at the heart of everything Alana makes. She works with natural cotton and linen fabrics, viscose embroidery thread, biodegradable interfacing, and plastic-free, recyclable packaging. Wherever possible she sources from smaller, ethically run suppliers. Produced in limited runs and finished slowly by hand, each item is designed to feel special, collectible, and rooted in care for both craft and planet. Though this chapter of the business is still young, Alana is growing Chase the Wilderness with intention and has such exciting ideas. Guided by a love of colour, imagination, conservation, and the wild magic found in nature and everyday moments.
